THE LOCAL AREA

The Fold is wonderfully secluded in a field that lies alongside the meandering river Perry, on a grassy meadow we know as "The Flash". With views over the river and the fields beyond this is the ideal place to get away from all the stresses of modern day life with an off-grid experience whilst maintaining a little bit of luxury in our self-built, one-of-a-kind shepherd’s hut.

Walks from the door

We are lucky to have plenty of public footpaths nearby and these can be accessed from The Fold. Information and maps on local walks are included in the shepherd's hut.

Nearby food and drink

There is an abundance of fantastic country pubs within the vicinity of the shepherd's hut. The New Inn, in Baschurch is walkable from the pub. Information on local pubs and a map to help you walk to the New Inn is included in the information pack.

Shrewsbury

The beautiful market town of Shrewsbury is only a 10-15 minute drive away. Shrewsbury's medieval architecture, independent eateries and boutique shops are not to be missed, and it is well worth a visit at any time of year.

The Shropshire Hills and North Wales

The Fold is only a stone's throw from both the Shropshire Hill's and mountains of North Wales. Whether you are looking for a short circular walk or something more adventurous there is plenty of choice, with fantastic views to boot!
